What is ayahuasca integration?

Six practices that carry a ceremony into ordinary life.

Integration is what happens after the medicine — the weeks and months where insight either becomes a changed life or fades into a memory. These are the practices we see work, again and again, across thousands of journeys.

Rest and slow re-entry

Protect sleep, food and quiet for the first days. Nothing lands in a nervous system still running fast.

Write it down before it fades

Journal the images, sentences and body sensations within 48 hours, without interpreting them yet.

Bring it into the body

Breathwork, walking, movement and touch let insight settle somewhere deeper than thought.

Speak it in a circle

Being heard by people who have been there stops the experience turning into a private story you carry alone.

Change one concrete thing

One boundary, one habit, one conversation. Integration is measured in behaviour, not in insight.

Get support when it is heavy

If grief, anxiety or old trauma surfaces, work with an integration coach or psychedelic-informed therapist.

AYAHUASCA INTEGRATION CIRCLES

A grounded space to land what ceremony opened.

Each gathering is a circle of listening — not re-entry. We move at the pace of trust, weaving practical tools with sacred witnessing so insight becomes lived change.

About this space

A trustworthy home for ayahuasca integration

Ayahuasca Integration Alliance is a small, independent home for people walking with this medicine — before ceremony, in ceremony, and long after. We are not a retreat center and we are not a directory that lists anyone who pays. We are a curated community of facilitators, coaches, and practitioners who share a common standard: consent, honesty, aftercare, and the long view.

The site is organised around three questions. Where am I on the path? — answered by the Integration Journey, a five-stage map from curious to long-term practice. What am I working with? — answered by seventeen topic hubs and a growing library of questions, each written to be useful, not performative. Who can I trust to help? — answered by a vetted list of professionals and a small set of ongoing integration circles.

What we mean by integration

Integration is the work of turning what the medicine shows you into how you actually live. It is not decoding visions, and it is not chasing the next ceremony. It is the ordinary, unglamorous practice of letting insight change your Tuesday — your relationships, your work, your rest, your body.

The first three months after ceremony are the sensitive window. What happens in that window shapes the long-term outcome more than the ceremony itself. Most of what you'll find here is written with that window in mind.

How to use this site

If you're new, start with the Integration Journey and pick the stage that matches where you are. If you have a specific question, use the Living Index — every question we've been asked, answered in short and in long form. If you want a person, browse the Professionals page or apply to one of the ongoing integration circles.

Everything on this site is free to read. The paid work — coaching, retreats, training — is offered by the practitioners in the community, not by the Alliance itself.
