It might reveal what was already true. Many relationships deepen after ayahuasca; some end. The medicine tends to make honesty unavoidable. Give any big decision a 3–6 month integration window before acting.

Do not try to explain the ineffable. Instead, share what is changing in you and invite them into the changes, not the story. Couples counseling with an integration-aware therapist can be transformative here.

Lead with why, not what. Most loved ones react to the word "psychedelic" before they hear the reasons — so share the longing underneath ("I want to be less anxious," "I want to be more present with you") before naming the tool. Invite them into your preparation and integration, not just the announcement. If they can't come with you, ask them to hold space in their own way. Your relationships are part of the medicine too.
